From its appearance, this would be a 45-ton GE. Most of its type featured side rods, mounted on the truck faces, to drive all four axles using but two traction motors. Others, like this one, utilized a chain drive mounted inboard of the wheels, to do the same thing. Bachmann provides a spectacular rendition of the side rod version in HO gauge.
