Kevin there is more than meets the eye here. You have found a beautiful location with a great curve and no obstructions. The leaves are turning so we getting close to a “Vermont Life” Fall. Think about the history you are retracing. First to come was the Rutland Railroad with RS-3s. Then for a while there was no rail activity. Then the Green Mountain RR starts up with an RS-1 and S-4. Shortly after that Steamtown begins running excursions up this far seasonally. Then steamtown moves and we are back to one or two RS-1s on one turn per day. This leads us through the deregulation era and traffic picks up. We are at the point now when a handful of GP-38’s is not enough anymore. So bring on the new units not yet painted and also leased power. My father would never believe that trains are still running through the Green Mountains of Vermont. It just does not get much better.
