It looks so uninhabited. I wonder when the last time the rails saw traffic

Great title! And an image both engrossing and melancholy. The time of day (nice job!) and the flowering weeds make it almost romantic. And that slight, beckoning curve in the rails makes all the difference. Well shot!

Another gem... I remember riding into Reading Terminal on the "new" Silverliners back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Hard to believe that something once so thriving and alive now has returned this much to nature.

I'm really enjoying your series on abandoned ROWs and stations, Mitch. Keep it up!

I remember my view being somewhat more pleasing than this albeit 30+ years ago.

Wow... Unbelieveable that urban real estate in a major city like Philly...within sight of the statue of Bill Penn for goodness sake...could remain abandoned and unused for 25 years! There's material for a TV series here, Mitch.

What an interesting view of the consequences of progress with an artistic touch of historical flare. Good job!

I am amazed that the rails and overhead have not been removed for scrap

Great series of shots, Mitch, about a series of lines I new nothing about. This one kind of reminds me of the line between Dalston Junction and Broad Street in London: abandoned since 1986 but most of it is being converted into a new transit line.
