The GM&O had two sets of this equipment, which was originally built for the Baltimore & Ohio as their "Royal Blue" trains, for Washington, DC,-New York (actually Jersey City, NJ) service. One set was constructed of Cor-Ten steel and the other of aluminum. On my earliest trip to St. Louis, in 1965, the second train, named the "Ann Rutledge," which I believe was the aluminum set, was stored alongside Union Station.
