Another gem from your archive, Brian. Are you SURE this is 1955? The carriages are archaic even for 1935. Love the 'panes of glass' in the cab too!

Thank you for your comment Steve. The photo was definitely taken in July 1955 and is one of 60 photos taken by John Wilson in Belgium and Germany in June/July that year with his Super Inkonta camera which I now own as a museum piece! Most of these little 4-6-0s received new cabs in their later years as this one although at least one that was equipped with a Giesl ejector in 1959 still had the original style cab.
