I always think the S-4s are some of the most attractive passenger locomotives anywhere. Nice shot of this classic.

Wow, that is a thoroughly modern steam right down to the roller bearing rods. What a great fan trip engine she would make. I like the angle of the shot. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder how many old time railfans would love to see this run again? Great shot! Its so nice to see steam action in Aurora during the early days. I hope you have more like this, brings back good memories of yesterday.

If not for the National Railroad Museum's lowering of the MILW 261's price, and stubborn citizens of LaCrosse who did not want to give up their precious locomotive, the 4000 might have run again!
