Nice glimpse into the past Jim,I wish we still had the Ford Fast Today. Can you imagine that train being led by Union Pacific's modern fleet of Gevos and SD70ACe's?

James, nice image selection for number 2,000. Very nice for your first Kodachrome. I wish my first Kodachrome is as nice. Now if my 2,000 is as nice I will be lucky, of course I only have 1,746 to go!

That's a great shot for a 12 year old and a "less than ideal" camera! My first train shot was also at age 12, but wasn't well-composed, nor was it this interesting. Neat shot ... thanks for sharing it, and the story behind it.

You were a "natural" from day one my friend. Somethings in life just aren't fair! Thanks for sharing and congrats on 2000.
