Wow, talk about being in the right place at the right time. Can I borrow some of that good luck?!

Amazing, Michael. No doubt this goes down as being one of my favorite photos on RP. Beautifully composed and a flawless scene. Not only is it luck to see a rainbow, but extremely good luck to have it perfectly composed in the scene. PCA vote.

Sweet catch, Mike! Great meeting you out there in the high country!

One of those lucky moments that end up producing an absolutely stunning shot. This ones going to get all the awards so I'll start off with a PCA vote.

Pot o' Grande Gold that is! This is simply stunning. One of those rare "once-in-a-lifetime" shots you will never forget. I hope you've shared this with the D&SNG folks as I'm sure they'd be willing to pay a pretty penny to use this in their advertising materials. Well done and thanks for sharing.

To quote Jim Boyd's paraphrase of the famous 'street' photographer Weegee: 1/500, and be there! Nice work, Mike.

I must have missed this one when it was top of the day followed by a good amount of time as top of the week. Congrats on the POTW this week - see you again next week as the PC. Beautiful capture, Mike. Though I am an ardent steam fan, I can't help but wonder what kind of response this would've had if it were a BNSF EMD SD70MAC - narrow gauge, of course!
