This is a fake patrol, and there is no East-West border any more in that region. The "Iron Curtain" was dismantled at the end of 1989. It would have been impossible to take such a picture in reality. And this area was off-limits in a "forbidden zone" (too close to the border).

Well done reconstruction! I spend some time in Poland in the 1970s and well recall the general milieu.
