Those things used to be like flies - everywhere - and now there are none. Nice photo, Joe

Gosh, Joe---I operated motor cars exactly like this through Buechel in 1970! We used to leave the car at Floyd Street and go as far east as Shelbyville on Monday. From there to SJ Tower and back to Lawrenceburg was the next leg on Tuesday. Wednesday we ran the branch over to Lexington and back. Thursday it was back to SJ Tower, and then west to Shelbyville. On Friday you headed from there back to Floyd Street to tie up until the next week. I made this circuit for about three weeks as a management trainee, filling in for the assistant track supervisor who was on vacation. The car we used was EXACTLY like this one. Thanks for the memory!
