Then I consider myself lucky that I was able to see the last tower in the state in operation. I have a picture of the operator climbing up the stairs into the tower. I am equally surprised that the city has not opted to include this in its new historic district. They are rebuilding the roundhouse for the museum and a replica of the old ymca. I would have thought the museum and the town would have wanted to have a display like what is in Bowie for example.
