This is a former Missouri Pacific RS3, identified by its unique marker lights and their mounting brackets. When it was on the MoP, angled number boards sat atop those brackets, which is why there were no standard hood-side indicators. Many of the MoP's RS3s were re-engined with EMD 12-567 engines, and thus had three exhaust stacks on a centered manifold, with two EMD 36" cooling fans in a boxy housing over the radiator. Luckily, this one escaped that fate. Thanks for the look, Tom.
