And a shame it is at that! At least the station still stands as the Discovery North Bay Museum, a nifty little place with a focus on the area's railway heritage.

The Canadian now runs on the CN lines from Montreal to Vancouver

In response to the above, the actual "Canadian" these days originates (and terminatess) in Toronto. To get to Vancouver from Montreal you must first hop on VIA 65 then (if everything is on schedule) connect with VIA 1 "The Canadian" an hour and forty-three minutes later, hence it is not actually a direct service from Montreal to Vancouver.
