I really like the nitty-gritty, pre-EPA/Superfund look. In the early 1970s, I'm sure my mother often wondered how I could destroy so many pairs of shoes! Wonderful image. Thanks for sharing.

This station has been a miserable dump for as long as I have been aware of my own existence. It was a "Civic embarrassment" a half century ago and it might still be such. If the PPD isn't around, it's a fine place to watch and photograph trains. I bet they'll laugh at your Partners for Amtrak Safety and Security card and still arrest you if you refuse to leave.

Nice photo Dan, Doesn't look like too much has changed here, besides the station being slightly more presentable and the FL9's being a thing of the past.

Fl9s are still with us......in storage at New Haven.
