The Milwaukee herald on the bulkhead flat car is a nice addition to the car, and is something easily copied by model railroaders. I do not remember ever seeing something like this before, except for one of the C & N W's (Pride) gondolas. The C & N W would send a Pride gondola and a small rail crane to towns on their railroad, which were stationed on a siding that was easy to drive to. The railroad would put an add in the local newspaper to let the town's people know that the Pride car would be in town for scrap metal removal, for a certain number of days, Then the car and crane would move to the next location. The Pride gondolas had extra high bulkhead ends with the C & N W herald on the inside face of the bulkheads much as seen here, and the word PRIDE was located in the center of the car side with one letter per panel in very large letters. The Pride cars were green with yellow lettering and heralds.

Bill is correct about the logo. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that either. Shame that logos don't seem to be all that important in 2011, at least on rolling stock

Great "Q" shot Marty. Should the date be 1966 instead of 1976? Don

Oops, right, 1966.
