Wow. The juxtaposition between the tiny train and the massive mountains really makes the scene, and the wonderful textures you captured only enhances what is already a stunning composition.

Congrats on the well-deserved PCAs, Dave! This one continues to blow me away. I never cease to be amazed by some of the engineering feats railroads accomplished in days when "modern" methods of construction weren't available.

Great composition in the first place. The sky absolutely had to be in it even at the expense of moving the train a little to the left. The shot has the feel of some of those old time photographers recording the grand accomplishments of the late 1800s.
