The trailing Union Pacific C-630, one of a ten-unit class, was purcahsed by the Missabe on behalf of one of its sister roads, Quebec Cartier in Canada. The UP units were used sparingly by the Missabe, and once Cartier got its financing arranged, they were transferred to that Canadian ore hauler.
