I saw the Farmers blimp yesterday but I didn't even think about a shot with it and a train. Nice shot Pat, you hit it out of the park!

Reportedly this is the largest airship flying today.

Little nitpick Its not a blimp its a rigid airship. Also known as Zeppelin, its been built in the same town as the Zeppelins of old! Felix

Amazing Pat! I'll admit I have seen the MetLife and Goodyear blimps at least twice. But I have never seen a zeppelin. I wouldn't have thought that Farmers would run this for obvious reasons. I have a book at home that says the people who built the Hindenburg were trying to improve on its safety. Maybe they hit a milestone.

I am very impressed by this picture. I am living in the hometown of the historic as well as the new Zeppelin airships, Friedrichshafen at the Lake of Constance, but I was never able to get a good picture of a train and a Zeppelin in a way like this. Thank you for sharing this picture with us. By the way, shown in this picture is the one and only Zeppelin N07 airship in use in America. Goodyear has recently ordered three of them for delivery in 2014 to replace some older blimps.
