Built as EMD3, one of four SD60 demonstartors, was renumbered 9041 when reassigned to replace a wrecked Oakway Lease SD60 of the same number. The other three, EMD1, 2, 4, (which were not refit with the radial trucks,) were sold to Conrail. Clearly, this 27-year old unit could use some new paint.

Exactly right. EMD3 got radial trucks before any production went out the door.
Don't say repaint, NS is good about painting over EMD demonstrators...forever.
