Interesting switching from non-standard right hand side track back to Swiss standard left hand side track. Both tracks on Gotthard alp transit line can be used in both direction, so an overtaking by a intercity train can be made as long no opposite train is approaching. It will optimize the throughput of a line, when one direction traffic is dominating. Modern safety devices will keep the whole system in balance. Regards, Peider/Switzerland.
