An EXCELLENT shot Mike! I never knew CSX ran on that EJ&E bridge. I went to Pine Junction once. I got a photo of an EJ&E SD38-2 #672 on top of the bridge. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=66459 Keep up the GREAT WORK on your photos! -Nick :)

Nick, Thank you very much for your kind words. Yes, CSX will occasionally run on the EJ&E mainline. They bring coal trains west out of their Curtis Yard onto the J branch line which connects to the elevated J main west of Pine Junction. They turn right at the top of the grade and head north over the CSX and NS mains, then turn right again and head back east over Clark Road and into the J's Kirk Yard (as is the case with the train in this photo). The route descrcibes a large "horseshoe" that encompasses most of Pine. Mike Rapchak Jr.

Great shot showing how big AC44s really are because that big is half the locomotive's size.
