Great pic Marty! I'm thinking that those people were maybe doing something with the ballast? Looks like a work train....the hoppers are dumping ballast. One of the guys has a shovel in his hand. Perhaps they had to clear the track to let the dinkey go by?

What a rainbow of colors on the boxcars. The BAR car stands out the best, nice to see some brand new UP boxcars. If guessing, at least 10 or more rail lines are represented in the picture. What a great multiaction shot.
