Another spotting feature of that SD24 demonstartor set was the use of the SD18-style, bar radiator grill, instead of the chicken wire style, which was standard for the production model. The only other SD24s fitted with this grille were the prototype, EMD 5579 (which was also acquired by UP,) and the one Kennecott unit of the type.
