That CLASSIC FWD pumper has been in service AT LEST 20 years at this point. You sure don't see manual-rewind hose reels anymore, let alone an SDP40F. Wonder if HCVFD still has that FWD as a ""Vintage Parade Piece ?"

You know Rich, that is a very good question. I will contact the Helper Fire department and find out of they still have that FWD truck. Helper City hosts a wonderful nighttime 'electric light parade' during the Christmas season and the FWD pumper would be a shoe in for sure.

Is this water for the radiators or for the steam generators? I've never noticed that particular location for "water intake" and always thought it was direct to the underframe water tank.

I like the federal twin beacon ray lightbar on the firetruck. The locomotive is nice looking also.
