The "new" overpass belies the true state of the roadbed on the Reading, CNJ and the Lehigh Valley through this area back then. Now the Reading is Conrail shared assets territory, the CNJ is the NJT Raritan line, and the Lehigh Valley is busier than it was even during WWII, as Norfolk Southern's main into Metro New York/New Jersey.
