Keep posting these early 90's UP shots. Best years of the UP, in my opinion, and they give me some ideas for the trains on the LA&SL layout I hope to build some day.

Ken, glad the photos could help out. I have lots of photos from this time frame when I had a new car and lots of free time. What surprises me about these photos are the sheer number of different train symbols on the UP. I'm sure the UP-SP merger must have changed carload routing substantially. Today there seems to be just one or two monster manifests running between North Platte and West Colton. An added bonus is the lack of graffiti on freight cars.

I would have to agree with Ken! The early 90's were a melting pot of new and veteran power! Thanks for sharing these James and also for putting miles on your new car!!!
