Those 567's must have sounded great reverberating off those canyon walls. Wish I was there to hear it. It looks very desolate and rugged. Nice image.

I'm guessing that the stub rails under the lead engine are remnants of a previous alignment. I could easily be wrong, though.

My guess is that was a motor/handcar setout point. Unreal photo from what seems to be the surface of the moon!
