Both were built in California, USA and put in service in 1979. Another 4-4-0, Central Pacific #63, the Leviathan, was built in Elgin, IL and placed into service in 2009. A fourth new steam engine is currently under construction by the same company as #63 and will debut as 4-4-0 #17, The York. Jeff - I think you missed the big ceremony complete with a period dress audience expected only 4 days later on May 10th! Still, cool series.

Oh no, I didn't miss May 10th. I just went a few days early in order to get a few "people free" shots.
