Posted by J. C. Smith, Jr. on May 25, 2012  The 2619 is also one of the few square-nosed NS SD70Ms, as opposed to those with the tapered sides. Only NS and Union Pacific had examples of this design, which was required because those orders were equiipped with EMD's FIRE electronics system.
