Wow!!!! What a shot. NS you just keep out doing yourself. A big thanks to the Historical Society and Museums that keep these beautiful GP30’s (the best looking GP’s ever) alive for all to see.

Really sweet! Some real heritage locomotives here! Happy Birthday NS!
This is quite impressive--not just this particular photograph, but the fact that NS is hearkening back to its heritage in a powerful and solid way, and thus ingratiating itself to a lot of rail and fallen flag enthusiasts, many of whom are potential rail shippers! Way to go Norfolk Southern. You are certainly showing yourself to be a class act. Good PR DOES matter.

I must admit, those high hooded GP30's do look a little strange, but they look good at the same time!
What's not to like about a GP30?!! It's just too bad that they weren't made in a longer run. Then maybe we would have more around to enjoy.
Looks like this could be somebody's model railroad! Cool!
It is good to see that NorfolkSouthern goes out of its way to "pay respect to its elders". And in Roanoke no-less! So much railroad history was made in those shops behind the units. Very nice!

WOW! Great photo! The GP-30's are the best looking locomotive eve built! Nice picture!
You're a class act NS! Others should take notice too..
Yes, I agree the 30's were the the best looking of all time. I remember the 1st time I saw them on the CNO&TP. They are beautys, and I think the high hoods look the best. EMD styling at its very best.

Love the picture, but it would have been better if the SD60E was also a GP30.

Good to see 2594 in this shot. She is still going strong at the TVRM. They have really done a great job keeping her looking good since the repaint in Chattanooga. The SERM in Duluth should be proud of her too. Thanks NS for another outstanding shot!
