I thought that Cape Canaveral was in Fla. What's the deal?

"Cape Canaveral" was the nickname SP employees affectionately gave the locomotive facility in Roseville Yard. Was often a very busy place, and the "launch pad" for motive power going in all directions on trains. Thus the nickname.
