I was thinking that same thing Mark. Wow, two weeks to go until shutdown and it looks like business as usual on the Rock with what appears to be a fairly healthy train E/B out of Denver.

Great shot. I always liked the look of the Rock's "potential merger" red and Armour Yellow scheme on those big U-boats. A railroad I was too young to experience but that for some reason I 'miss'.

This train is actually westbound at Sandown Jct., and the United DC-8 is either heading to the runway to take off or is on a takeoff roll. I used to work in the building seen to the left of the 4587's pilot; the hobby shop Pro Custom Hobbies used to be there.
