Nice shot, particularly given the technical (film and lighting) constraints of that time. Also, it's nice to see one of the more obscure passenger runs of that era (a night train) documented this well.

I used to ride this train, the Copper Country Limited, from Crivitz to Chicago. Had to change trains in Milwaukee for the ride into Chicago on the Empire Builder. Forty years later, I was an engineer (Civil type) working on the Marquette Interchange. Our office was in the Milwaukee Road Train Station.

A correction for the historians on the above comment. In 1966 I changed trains in Milwaukee to Hiawatha Limited to Chicago. In 2004, I was resident engineer on the Lewis Street Bridge over the Canadian Pacific in Columbus, Wisconsin and that train was the Empire Builder.
