Surely one of the best classic paint schemes! (Five stars, if we had stars.)

Phoebe Snow would be proud.

Very nice. Saved the best for last. Now how do we get NS to make this their standard paint scheme?

They should put "Wi-Fi Equipped" on there instead of "Radio"!!!

All the excitement is over now... All the heritage units are finished. That said, they were done beyond expectations, & I for one, commend NS for this awesome program.

Thanks to NS for making this the most memorable experience for rail enthusiasts we have had in many years. All the heritage units look truly amazing !

Wow! The best yet. Now, if NS would add an Erie Lackawanna unit I would be in Heritage Heaven.

What was once thought to be unimaginable is now fact. After Spencer, 20 locomotives in historic colors will roam the eastern part of the United States. What a great nod to history - thank you NS and all the people behind the scenes that made this a reality!

Very nice job NS on every "Heritage Unit!" I wouldn't say "All the excitement is over now" because to me it's just getting started! I'll be seeing them all at Spencer, N.C.—I have not seen any in person yet! Now I'm sure they'll be pulling freights for years! THAT'S EXCITING!!!!

WOW!!! I've been waiting for this one. I grew up in Scranton Pa. and loved to watch these roll by as a little boy. She really brings back memories. Thank You NS!! Awesome Job!!

Beauty!

And the one I have been waiting for the most (after the Virginian). This is a truly "handsome" scheme. I wish I could get close up but living in Minnesota rules that out. In fact I doubt I will ever get close to any of them. Still I too want to congratulate NS for one of the truly best things for American rail fans and probably to some foreign fans ever. Thank you NS.

They are all great ... looking forward to Spencer, NC. Thanks again Norfolk Southern. Lots of people obviously worked together, very hard, to make all of this happen ... a visual tribute to your Company and its employees!

Well I believe the Reading ACE has met it's match. This one is no doubt about it my favorite. Great job Progress Rail & NS.

Wow - that's one scheme that really works extraordinarily well on an SD70ACe! Great job, NS! Great shot, Casey! Now get 'em up North!

NS, Casey, and all the paint shops involved in the heritage program: I ran out of superlatives back around the 15 th. heritage units. All I can say is WOW!! and thank you for everything. By the way the Lackawanna is as pretty as its sisters.

These various heritage schemes, fifty to sixty years old in most cases, hold up very nicely as applied to modern power. We've sure lost a lot of diversity over time. It is gratifying that NS has seen it worthwhile to pursue this heritage program. Long may the units roam.
