Great to see a shot of one of these massive beasts in service. Keep up the good work. And, by the way, what is the purpose of the single rail in the foreground?

David, it looks like an old siding that they weren't using anymore. Rather than tear it up, they just placed ballast over it. Of course, that's just my idea.

^ The above comment is correct. If you follow the rail, there is another one visible beside it, closer to the road.

Hi David, I'm sorry answer you just now... my PC was under maintenance and I got it just today. That line on the foreground was used to divert the traffic due a derailment happened here about couple years ago over the single main line. As the traffic could not be completely paralyzed, they did that improvised line.
