Is this possibly an ex- Clinchfield unit ? I know of no other railroad to use this type of extra venting on their switchers.

It's ex-AT&SF rebuilt between the mid to late 70's. They made the "SSB1200" from 3 NW2's, 23 SW9's, 3 SW1200's and 2 TR4 sets. This one appears to be from an SW9 or SW1200.
