This is the kind of location that the general population thinks of when you mention an autumn train ride. I wish that here in the mountains of North Georgia we had Amtrak, to be able to take rides and see beautiful trees like this. It is sad to think that the only rail trips we have in Georgia are only the short line tourist type. The only Amtrak service we have, is the Crescent that pull into North East Georgia to Atlanta and then directly east toward Birmingham. Don't get me wrong. NE Georgia is pretty, be we have some darn good eye pleasing scenes in North and NW Georgia too.
