I presume your inquiring about "old Henry" It is a 14A model D8 caterpillar bulldozer. He's missing his blade at the moment. judging from his hood and air cleaner it would appear he's had his own share of crises.

There is a good possibility that this D-8 is used to move rail equipment. If the knuckle is removed then Old Henry is driven up to said piece of equipment and the blade arm is raised to the coupler height, the coupler pin can be dropped through the coupler and the sleeve in the center front of Old Henry's device allowing him to move the rail piece.
