I wish them luck and success with this. Replacing the cedar shingles is a time consuming but NOT terribly difficult job. The lower courses appear to have proctected most of their lives, probably by a "shed" roof of some type. I would be more concerned about that diagonal crack that appears to run the full height of the poured cement first floor.

Rich, i forgot to mention that the west side (left hand side of the elevator in this photo) has been completely re-shingled. It would be great to see the entire thing redone and painted to represent this small community!
