Interesting photo Craig. I love this depot and now there is a Live Streaming Railcam posted at this Station by Virtual Railfan Inc. It's been sponsored through April 01, 2020 - and is accessible for free on YouTube to watch the Amtrak, Metrolink, and BNSF freight trains that run through San Juan Capistrano. This is now my most favorite, Number 1 railcam to watch. To clarify - there are two restaurants that now occupy this area. Trevor's At The Tracks actually occupies the original station, and that restaurant has a boxcar sign out front. The second restaurant is The Vintage Steakhouse, and that has several passenger cars and a former AT&SF Caboose as part of their dining experience and seating areas. The Amtrak Station has now moved to the end of the platform (which would be out of sight to the left of this photo) and is inside two boxcars - the only Amtrak Station that incorporates real railroad equipment as their station structure. Again, the Virtual Railfan Camera is Free on YouTube until April 01, 2020! Check it out!
