I love SD40-2's and that is certainly a handsome blue. Any idea where they got it?

Hello thanks for looking at my photo! From what ive heard its a former UP SD40-2. but im not sure at all on the history of the unit.

My guess would be former BN/HLCX. I don't think any UP SD40-2s lacked extended range dynamic braking, as this one does. The majority of the original BN SD40-2 fleet, which now makes up a majority of the HLCX SD40-2 lease fleet do not have extended range dynamics.
