Wondering what the root of the stains on the plywood siding are since they are on a regular grid: would there have been that dense a pattern of nails or screws holding sheet on? Will have to admit that I hadn't thought about that little point of detail before.

Makes me wonder how many hundreds of coal trains this caboose guarded from behind during it's long career!
