This is Tunnel Eleven. Nice shot of a remote location.

Bruce, the train just left Tunnel 12, and is threading T13. T14 is just out of sight to the right, followed by 15 and 16 is quick succession. There's a great horseshoe loop here, the location is called "South Draw". The other side of South Draw (http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=231539), between Tunnel 16, 'old' Tunnel 17, and Tunnel 17 is behind the photographer. This shot is also notable for the afternoon sunlight. Afternoons on the Moffat are more often than not overcast! Love this excellent set of Tunnel District photos, please keep it coming!

I stand corrected. The tunnel barely visible at the extreme left of the picture does indeed look like Tunnel Twelve. The only picture I have of Tunnel 13 was made in 1938 by Richard Kindig, and the Tunnel entrance has changed since then. The tunnel view submitted by Jason looks remarkably like the view found in The Rio Grande Secret Places by R.C. Farewell published by the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1997. I've spent many hours with my grandson making videos of action in the Tunnel District and hope to return. Thanks for setting the record straight.
