LIRR had 2 RS-2s, both of which were purchased from the D&H. These 2 RSs #1519 & 1520 were given a special paint scheme to match LIRR's then popular heavyweight Parlor Cars and normally assigned to the "prime" job of powering "weekend summer-only service" trains on the Montauk and Greenport lines. They looked and sounded quite "dashing" pulling together at track speed.
