Talk about rare mileage (for railfan photographers) in this shot. I know where this shot was captured from, and it's not an easy hike at 8000 feet elevation! There's still a wheelset in the creek far below the tracks--a constant reminder of how dangerous mountain railroading can be. Keep this fantastic material coming!

My last trip through here on #6 the Conductor went on the PA to announce this site, spoke of the memorial to the railroaders and the equipment still at the canyon floor. It's interesting to see it from this perspective.
