I saved your picture to my collection because I love the IAIS scheme. I googled 'BICB' which you show in your 'remarks & notes,' and couldn't come up with a thing. I'm assuming it is another rail line...can you tell me what the abreviation stands for?

Which engine is IAIS and which one is BICB? Very interesting shot. And why in the world would anyone need eleven engines on a local freight? How many cars were they pulling? Just curious.

CN likes to use this freight to balance power between Two Harbors, Keenan and Proctor and to move units needing work to the shop at Proctor. It is unusual to see this many though. Train was around 43 cars.

Not like they were using all 11 engines. Geez! Locomotives are transported to or from certain places, just like freight cars, even when not needed to move tonnage. Most likely only 2 or 3 locomotives were actually being used. I can't understand why people (even alot of railroaders) are so ignorant to something so simple. It's like asking why is a semi being used to haul an empty trailer. DUH! It needs to go somewhere!
