He isn't grinding to hard,he is not in run 8.

I think maybe run 8 would put the amps in red.

Maybe grinding isn't the best word, but Gary could be right. Plus we are just about at the 10 mph speed limit of the branch anyway.

As an engineer out of Denver back in 78/81,I know a lot about grinding up a grade,stalling,then having to set cars out,or wait for another train to couple up and shove you to Palmer Lake.That branch is only 10 mph,so that explains throttling back to about run 6.Having the throttle in run 8 would not put the amps in the red,you would go a little faster,depending on the tonnage,and if this is the only unit.
