In 1992 I was the test engineer in LA that put Metrolink in service.I begged the EMD man to put the train order clip board in the middle of the throttle and air brake handles.I see someone else got that same idea.Throttle next to the load meter,orders dead center,you read,then look straight ahead onto the right of way,then the brakes next to the air gauges.Very efficient that way.
