Awesome shot! I ran this line (now the UP Springfield Sub) when I worked north out of St. Louis on the UP.

GM&O used B&O CPL's?

This line was originally Chicago & Alton, which was owned by the B&O until 1947 when it was sold to the GM&O. The line then became ICG, and was sold to the Chicago, Missouri & Western in 1987, CM&W went bankrupt in 1990. SP bought the line and incorporated SPCSL to operate the route. This line was acquired by UP in the 1996 UP-SP merger and now operates as the UP's Springfield and Joliet Subdivisions.
