Ha! I love the venetian blinds. Are you sure there isn't somebody living in it? All kidding aside, I wonder if those trade-in trucks are original?

That's probably someone's residence. The cab is their "apartment. They must have a kerosene heater to keep it warm in the winter. Low-cost housing at its best.

After the C&O and before CERA, this unit worked for the Tippecanoe RR (then JK Line) in Indiana from the late 80's to early 90's (along with #7311). The units were purchased from Naporano Iron & Metal Co. in New Jersey. The railroad operated 16 miles of former Erie mainline from N. Judson to Monterey but is all but a memory today.
